Frequently asked questions
Dates, registration, Leos, AGMs and more — answers to common questions about the 2028 Victorian Lions Convention.
When is the convention?
Friday 20 to Sunday 22 October 2028. Session times will be published with the programme.
Where will it be held?
The venue is being selected and will be announced once confirmed.
Can I register yet?
Not yet. Registrations are opening soon — join the mailing list to hear first.
Who can attend?
Victorian Lions and Leos, with partners, families, friends and guests. Lions and Leos from further afield are welcome too.
Can Leos attend?
Yes — Leos are warmly welcome. Leo activities will be announced with the programme. Leos under 18 will need a parent or guardian’s consent to register.
Who is organising the convention?
Lions Districts 201 V1-4, V3, V5 and V6 host it together, with equal responsibility. A Convention Committee with one representative from each host district coordinates the shared arrangements.
Will the host districts still hold their AGMs?
Yes. Each host district holds its own Annual General Meeting during the weekend — four separate meetings, held at the same time, each under its district’s own rules.
How do I become a voting delegate?
Your Lions club nominates its delegates and your district’s credentials committee certifies them. Registering for the convention is a separate step. Details will be published closer to the event.
Is this the Lions Australia national convention?
No. It’s a combined convention of four Victorian districts. The Lions Australia (MD 201) national convention is a separate event.
How can my business get involved?
Register your interest as a sponsor or exhibitor on our Sponsors & Exhibitors page.
Will the venue be accessible?
Accessibility is a requirement in venue selection. When registrations open, you’ll be able to tell us about any access needs.
